Political Branding & Campaign Launch Site
Client: Jamie Schoolcraft for Congress, Missouri’s 7th District
As Creative Director and Brand Architect, I led the end-to-end development of Jamie Schoolcraft’s congressional campaign materials — including a full branding suite, canvassing collateral, and a purpose-built Squarespace website — for his progressive run in one of Missouri’s most deeply conservative, rural districts.
Strategy & Approach:
Running a Democrat in Southwest Missouri demanded a strategic narrative: one that emphasized service, integrity, and shared values over partisanship. We anchored the campaign around Jamie’s deep roots in emergency services and healthcare, crafting messaging that made progress feel local — not ideological.
The central theme, “Passion. Patriot. Prosperity.”, reflected Jamie’s commitment to practical leadership and his vision for economic opportunity, accessible healthcare, and community resilience.
Design Direction:
We delivered a strong, unifying visual identity and messaging system that could travel fluidly across digital and print:
- Designed a campaign logo combining patriotic elements with clean, future-forward typography.
- Rebuilt a Squarespace site structured around rapid voter access: bio, platform, donation, and volunteering channels.
- Created a walk piece optimized for front-porch conversation — clear, personal, and values-driven, speaking directly to rural voters.
Technology Implementation:
- Developed and launched a fully responsive Squarespace site for ease of maintenance and streamlined campaign workflows.
- Customized Squarespace templates for performance and clarity, including integrated forms for supporter outreach and donations.
- Prioritized accessibility and mobile optimization to ensure usability in rural areas with limited bandwidth.
Impact:
The campaign’s digital ecosystem framed Jamie as a grounded, service-first candidate with deep local credibility. While the district remained a political long shot, the brand and website energized local supporters, drew press attention, and introduced a modern progressive voice into a region long underserved by competitive campaigns.
