E-commerce Website Redesign & Systems Integration

Client: Pierce Arrow Boutique, Pawhuska, OK

As Creative Director and Developer, I led the full digital transformation for Pierce Arrow Boutique — an upscale retailer blending western heritage with vintage-inspired, Boho Chic fashion, featuring exclusive lines like Johnny Was.

Strategy & Approach:

The project began with a deep dive into their product catalog structure and retail workflows. Mapping the complex category relationships was essential for designing an intuitive customer experience that honored the boutique’s eclectic, high-end offerings while driving streamlined online and in-store sales.

Design Direction:

The redesigned Shopify website draws inspiration from the boutique’s unique identity — an homage to the elegance of the historic Pierce-Arrow automobile brand and the free-spirited sophistication of Boho Chic fashion.

  • We paired warm, textured visuals with structured, editorial-style layouts.

  • Integrated artisan-inspired design motifs reflecting the luxurious, handcrafted feel of the Johnny Was line.

  • Emphasized a clean, modern user interface to subtly anchor the brand in tech-forward luxury retail.

Technology Implementation:

  • Migrated the entire inventory from an external platform to Shopify, restructuring the database for greater operational agility.

  • Integrated Shopify POS to synchronize real-time inventory across e-commerce and physical retail operations.

  • Customized backend automations to support marketing campaigns, customer data capture, and omnichannel reporting.

Impact:

The result was a seamless, elevated shopping experience that honored the boutique’s distinctive brand heritage, modernized internal operations, and laid the foundation for scalable omnichannel growth.

2020 Update:

Unfortunately due to COVID-19, Pierce Arrow closed down soon after the re-launch of their website.
